Remote Property Viewings

The Corona Virus Pandemic has made many of us rethink the way in which we do things and we are looking at new ways of working and improving the services which we are able to offer.

For me it has made me realise that I can do a lot of my work from home and video meetings with clients and friends have proved almost as good as real meetings, although a lot less time consuming in terms of travelling time and also less costly! Many of our potential buyers have also recognised that they can work from home and are considering ways to make the home more suitable for working in. In many cases this is likely to result in a move to somewhere more practical although maybe without the limits of having to commute as regularly.

Whilst at the present time our movements are restricted and it is not possible to go out viewing property we have been looking at whether for the future virtual viewings would be a service which would be of value. This type of viewing is being greatly hyped by many companies selling camera equipment and meetings software. In our opinion it is probably a service which we will offer in the future, if there is a demand. Having said that we think that people buying houses will always want to see the actual product on several occasions before making a decision and that virtual viewings and virtual tours are no substitute for reality. Photographs, video and floor plans are a great help and we will continue to do all we can to improve these areas of our presentation and will review the other options over time.
